Our Parish

A parish is the area served by a parish priest based in the parish church, which often has a central location in the area.

Occurred since antiquity, parishes are used in the organizational structure of all the traditional aspects of Christianity – Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, and some Methodist and Presbyterian churches.

Parish of “St. Dimitar” Church are all those Orthodox Christians who live in Etobikoke and west of it. Major cities in this area are Brampton, Mississauga, Woodbridge, Vaughan, Maple, King, Caledon, Erin, Hilton Hills, Acton, Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Georgetown, Orangeville, Guelph, St. Catherines, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and any areas close to the U.S. border, as well as all members of the church.
